Kaitelyn's 3rd Birthday

Kaitelyn had a great birthday this year. We had two full days of celebration. Her birthday was on the 19th and we had a birthday party on the 20th.

Kaitelyn's birthday started out with her opening 1 present from Mommy, Daddy and Reed. She received a birthday cake playset and an ice cream playset. Then we set off for a day trip down to Cabela's. She had fun looking at all the animals and especially the big fish. After that, we had lunch at Panera's and off to Walmart to get her a new bike. She had no idea that when she was trying them out in the store that we were getting one. Once we found the perfect one, Luke took the kiddos out to the van while I lingered in the store to make the surprise purchase. We were lucky to make it all the way home and even a couple of hours later without her knowing she had a new bike.

Saturday we hosted a party and invited some of our close friends to the party. It was so much fun. The kids played a couple of games: toss the balls at the cans and a fishing game. Both games were a hit with the kids. Kaitelyn had picked out Strawberry Shortcake for her theme and while it was expensive, it was worth every $$ spent.

Look closely in the background, you might see Luke smiling.

Kaitelyn's friend Brooke was such a good sport,
she was the only person to wear a party hat.

Alston was a trooper, he was the only boy
besides Reed at Kaitelyn's party and he had a great time.

Early B-day Gifts

Friday, Kaitelyn received a couple of birthday gifts in the mail so I let her open them up ahead of time.
This year, Kaitelyn is sooo excited about her birthday. We've been on a countdown for the past week and she has been talking about all of her stuffed animals attending her birthday party. It's been fun to see the excitement of a party coming and the opening of gifts.

Thank you Aunt Shannon, Ricky, Griffyn, Alex, Lily and Phoenix

Thank You Great Grandma Lansford

We had the Conraths over for pizza and I was able to get a group shot of the kiddos.

Dress Up

Kaitelyn and I decided we would put girlie barrettes in Reed's hair last week. He took it in stride:-) Reed loves his big sister, he will just watch her and smile at her all the time. Kaitelyn on the other hand thinks he is gross. She's afraid to get near him because she thinks he will spit up on her or her toys. These days, he can create a pool of drool anywhere.

ahhh...just like the shirt says, "I'm a really BIG deal".

An Afternoon on the Sound

On Sunday, our friends Scott and Allison stopped by to visit. We were getting antsy to take the boat out so we invited them to tootle around the sound with us. Luke drove us up North in to the Oyster Bay area then back down South to Blake Island for a potty break and Reed feeding break. It was a lot of fun, I was nervous at first but finally relaxed and enjoyed our afternoon on the water.

While we were out, Kaitelyn enjoyed the thrill of trying to catch a fish for the first time. She loves fishing poles and has been asking Luke to go out on the big boat to fish. She had so much fun.

Our Little Photographer - Kaitelyn Photography

Here are some of Kaitelyn's works of photography. The other day, I was taking a shower and Kaitelyn found the camera again. I was busy flossing my teeth when she greeted me with a flash. It wasn't until this morning when I decided to download the pics from the camera that she was on a picture taking spree that same morning.

I'd like to share her works:
