I've decided that I really need to get out more with the children. About a week ago, Luke and Kaitelyn were playing with some paper dress up dolls. Kaitelyn dressed her dolls up to go to Walmart and Costco.
Wow...she really thinks the only things to do outside our home is go to Walmart and Costco (LOL). So...I am determined to get more involved in the community. For starters, I want to start taking the kids to the Zoo about once a week if weather permits.
This last Wednesday we ventured to the Zoo for the day and it was lots of fun. We spent the entire day there. Good thing we did because the rest of the week was cooler and rainy.
We didn't really see much of the animals, instead we spent most of our time in the Kids Zone and watching a live show. I can't wait to go again.

Forever??, Backseat Driver!!, Why?? and What's That??
Kaitelyn has gotten into that stage where she will talk your ear off. Have you ever seen that car commercial where the father is loading his daughter up in the vehicle and she is in the middle of telling a story. He stands there for a moment to see if she will finish her story before he closes the door but decides he can't wait any longer. When he walks around to the driver side and gets in, she's still telling her story. Well....that's Kaitelyn. She loves her stories and made up songs about flowers.
Forever
One of my favorites of Kaitelyn right now is she will ask if something will be forever. Like last night as I was tucking her into bed, she asked "Mom, are you going to have me forever?" Or, she will ask if something will take forever, are we going to be somewhere forever. It's super cute.
Backseat Driver
Kaitelyn has also become my little backseat driver. One day I was driving to the Conraths and I missed their driveway. Kaitelyn was quick to let me know that I passed their driveway. When I turned around to go back, she told me not to miss it again and she will tell me where to turn. Sure enough, she told me. When we are out and about, she will tell me about stop signs and stop lights. She is always telling me that I forgot to stop at "that stop sign". It's not that I forgot, it's a stop for a side street not the street we are on.
What's That and Why
Another fun thing Kaitelyn has started is, she asks me what all the signs mean and what they say. Then when I tell her, I have to explain why because then she asks "Why". So silly.
What fun adventures you have with children.

RIP Precious Layla Grace
The past couple of weeks, I have been following tweets and blog posts for little Layla Grace who put on a fierce fight to try and beat Neuroblastoma. Unfortunately, she lost her battle against this monster early this morning.
I am so sad to read the about this sad news of this wonderful family. Although, I have never met this family or this little angel, "Layla", I feel like I have known them a while :-(
Precious Layla, you will be missed!
