Nap Time

I don't have pictures yet, but I painted Reed's room and set up the bed rails for his bed. He just wasn't sleeping well in his crib and I was tired of having him in our bed. So Reed has been sleeping very well in his new big boy bedroom and bed for 2 weeks now. It's awesome!!

The other day, I put Reed down for a nap and he climbed out of his bed crying because he still wanted to play. So after about 10 minutes of crying and screaming he settled down on the floor next to his bed. When I knew he was sound asleep, I went in to check on him and this is what I saw...

Kiddy fun in the sun

A couple of weeks ago, Clara came over to play for a couple of hours. We had so much fun having her over. The kids played so well together and Clara got to ride/drive Kaitelyn's quad!

Reed can be entertained for 30 - 40 minutes pushing the trike around

Leftovers

Thursday evening we enjoyed a variety of leftovers for dinner. Check out Reed's plate. Daddy put that one together.

Fugly Face

Reed has been making this silly fugly face for the past couple of weeks. We call it the "mommy face" because I think he picked it up from me. I will make a silly ugly face when I'm trying to get him to listen to me. So now, Reed will make this fugly face ALL the time, it's so funny.

notice the saggy morning diaper, in back we had a half moon

COMPLETELY POOPED!!

Friday was a busy day for Kaitelyn, Reed and I. We were out the door by 9:00am and did not get home until around 5:00pm that afternoon.

The day started out with a visit to a potential preschool and ended with a quick trip to the Library.

I don't think I need to say more....

Strolling to the Beach

The past couple of weeks, Maddy and I have made the trek down to Anderson Point with the kids. It's a fun walk down, but quite the workout coming back up.
The kids love going down and playing along the beach. Kaitelyn has collected so many cool shells and rocks. Reed enjoys hanging out and digging in the sand.

Spring is Here and Summer is Near

Sunday afternoon, Luke and I took the kids out on the lake in our boat. We tried to launch the boat in Manchester first, but the tide was too low to launch safely. So, we decided to hit the lake. It was a beautiful day and the kids had so much fun. Kaitelyn was so excited to practice fishing. It was much easier taking Reed this time. Last time he was about 4-5 mths old eating and drinking milk exclusively and not able to move himself around. It was one of the very few times I really enjoyed being in the boat.

Reed not looking too happy in the beginning,
but once I stripped him down to his diaper he was happy

both working on their skills

Look!! Kaitelyn caught something - it's a piece of foliage from the lake

I'm not sure what Kaitelyn was thinking about, but look at that water.
Perfect for wake boarding.

I love this - daddy daughter moment. Then, Reed carrying a bag of Cheetos

This is the 1st year Kaitelyn has gotten brave enough to splash from the back
thinking about taking a plunge, but never did

Passing Time

Let me share how my little man likes to pass time when I'm putting on makeup or doing my hair.
He enjoys digging through all the drawers of my side of the vanity and pulling everything out. One of his favorites is to dig through my supplies I have for my "monthly visitor".

hmmm...wonder what I do with this

what?!?...just lookin

Easter 2010

This was the best Easter!

Reed found the 1st egg

We woke up to find that the Easter bunny had visited us overnight. He left a trail of chocolate candy eggs and candy leading all the way down the stairs to the front door. Then, the bunny hid a bazillion eggs around the house for the kids to find before finding their baskets. Later that day, we had a wonderful dinner with our friends, Matt, Maddy and Clara.
