Grandma Came to Visit

1st part of September, Grandma Rose and Uncle Mike came to visit us.

We visited Poulsbo and made a stop at Sluys Bakery. While we were walking along the waterfront, we ran into this little park at the end. It was a quiet little park with nobody around.

A beautiful day visiting Mt. Rainier

I love visiting Mt. Rainier. It's got some incredible trails with views to hike.
It was such a beautiful day, that we could actually see some hikers in the higher elevations.
The looked like small ants, but they could be seen :-)
Kaitelyn tired and sad because she's got a blister from her shoes :-(

Where's Reed?!

A day at the County Fair

At the end of August, we took the kiddos the our county fair. It was lots of fun. Kaitelyn rodes lots of rides, the kids saw lots of 4H animals and they enjoyed cotton candy for the 1st time. Another 1st for Kaitelyn and Reed was the school bus ride we took from the parking lot to the entrance of the fair.

Soccer Time

1st soccer practice - I didn't know shin guards were supposed to go inside the sock

On August 24th, soccer began for us. Kaitelyn's team has had practice twice a week and then a game every Saturday. We are finally done with practices and have 2 more games left. I can't wait until it's done. Here's why...the season started out okay, but after like the 3rd game, Kaitelyn was done! The past several weeks, we have gone to practice, but Kaitelyn won't practice and we've gone to the games with not action again. I continue to take Kaitelyn in hopes that she might change her mind, but she never does. So, I will be glad when it's over.

A fun day out on the lake

Unfortunately, we did not have many warm sunny summer days to enjoy time out at a beach or lake. So one nice weekend in August, we went to Long Lake with my friend Nicolle and her daughter Brooke to spend some time in the sun and work on our tans. The girls had a blast in the tube while Reed took a nap in Nicolle's arms. The girls were so cute, Brooke would hang on in the front, while Kaitelyn would hang out inside the tube where we couldn't see her.

sooo cute..BFF's ( p.s. I think Reed has a crush on Brooke)

Dress Up

These days, Kaitelyn loves to dress up (in dressess only because that is what princesses wear) along with dressing up her favorite animals. This particular week, she chose to dress up Hello Kitty.

Biggest Goose Egg Ever!!

On August 17th, Reed and Kaitelyn were horsing around at the dining room table and somehow Reed fell off of one of the chairs and banged his forehead. Reed's forehead immediately swelled up and he was in a lot of pain. I felt so bad for my little man because after that, he had fallen at least 2 more times and injured the same spot on his forehead. After that third fall I became nervous and called the doctor just for some reassurance.
