The cat is next

I think we are going to put Freckles down soon. We always said that if she ever got to the point where she couldn't make it to her litter box, that was time. Well, we have been having more and more accidents in the house. More in our bathroom than anywhere. It seems I can't keep the rugs clean in our bathroom and I'm tired of dodging poop or pee on our floor. I can't stand to even go in our bedroom/bathroom these days. All I smell is cat crap! This can't be good for a pregnant woman.

I'm sad that we may be putting another pet down in a matter of 2 months, but Freckles has had a long life. She's about 13/14 years old and way overweight.

Alexis will soon be our only pet and I think she will be around for a while.

Kaitelyn's Book

This evening Kaitelyn decided she would write her first book:-) She's been learning to read books in preschool and has been bringing a new one home each week to work on. We've been going over the Title, Author and Illustrator of each book she reads. Well today, she decided to she wanted to be the Author and Illustrator of her own book.

Here is her creation, it's super cute:)

"RAINBOW"
by Kaitelyn Chermak

Kid found a rainbow.
pg. 1

Kid followed the rainbow.
pg. 2

Kid tries to find the gold.
pg. 3

Kid loves gold.
pg. 4

Kid finds the gold.
pg. 5

~THE END~

I absolutely love it!! We glued each page together so we can read it over and over. I will treasure this forever:-)

Celebrating St. Patrick's Day

Saturday, we braved the rain and took the kids to downtown Bremerton for the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade. I think because of the rain, a lot of participants dropped out and therefore the parade was only about 5 minutes long this year. However, the kids enjoyed receiving lots of treats and we got to watch it twice:-)

What?! Kaitelyn kissed a boy?!

I made K wear jeans to school last Friday - so I had to get a picture

Today, as I was picking up Kaitelyn from preschool, the teacher pulled me aside to tell me that they talked to Kaitelyn in private because she had kissed a boy. I was in complete shock, but knew there was more to the story because Kaitelyn is not into boys. (She says that she only likes girls for friends and not boys).
So when we got home I asked her if the teachers talked to her in private about anything? She told me that they had and it was because she kissed a boy. She then went on to tell me that she had accidentally bumped into him and she was just saying "sorry".
I was relieved to hear the story. What Kaitelyn did is completely normal because that's how she and Reed apologize to each other at home. So we had a little discussion about the proper way to say sorry to our friends and how we don't give them kisses (especially friends at school).

Wow...I know this is a 1st of many more discussions to come. Can't Wait!

Baby Bump - 22 weeks

Here we are at 22 weeks, gettin' big! Can't believe how quickly this pregnancy is going. It's been nice to not feel sick all the time, but I'm still struggling with energy. It seems like I only have a couple of days a week where I have enough energy to do housework and spend good quality time with the kids. Then the rest, I'm struggling to find energy to keep up with just about anything. It's been really tough this time around, so glad I don't have a job outside the home. I don't think they would let me go lay down for 15 - 20 minutes every hour to regain some energy.
